Ardnamurchan the most westerly point of mainland Britain, projects into Scotland’s Hebridean Sea. Exposed to the run of weather on the coast, it is lightly populated. Viewed from the sea it stretches out just far enough to disappear beyond the horizon and it seemed on this occasion to be pressed into the sea by the mass of cloud that pushed forward onto it. Sea, land and cloud all coloured grey, are subtly modulated, so they seemed fused into on one element
